It's encrypted.  You can't tell what the password is, just by looking at
the file, but you ought to be able to copy it to another box and use it,
as-is.

If that's the case, you can still recover your POP3 password using a packet sniffer (check manpage for tcpdump - I think you want tcpdump -A)
This is email client-agnostic
