Since you knew about the discussion and endured the thread, I understand that you would rather head off a debate on this list and would rather point to the archives for more information. It just sounded to me when reading the post to be presented as we should have not asked here but known to read the fedora-development list archives in advance.
Keeping the c is fine with me if it keeps rpm updating systems better that it would if the c was dropped. I was satisfied with the "Fedora collections" response on the fedora-test list when I asked the question.
If you really want to follow development, subscribe to the development list or read the Fedora weekly news which offers relatively short summaries.
I probably will resubscribe since there is a lot of information that the discussions provide. I'll check out the Fedora weekly news to see what it provides.
