Try this:

<VirtualHost *:80>
  ServerName list.pilotalk.com
  Redirect /index.html http://list.pilotalk.com/mailman/listinfo
  ScriptAlias /mailman/ /usr/lib/mailman/cgi-bin/
  RedirectMatch ^/mailman[/]*$ http://list.pilotalk.com/mailman/listinfo
</VirtualHost>

It's similar to what I use.
