That's debatable - some users don't want the extra bloat. I think this should be an easily-installable option. Right now, it comes pretty close - all you do is "yum install ntfs-3g" and you're pretty much done. IMHO, ready-to-use (or easier-to-set-up) Samba server would be a lot more useful.
I agree with you. If some users don't want to mount ntfs and add them to fstab than that is what they should choose. But also other that want should have an option to choose as well. That is why it needs to be ntfs support in anaconda. If anaconda runs ntfs-config or does it it's own way I as a user don't care. To be clear I don't have any NTFS partitions on my system but I saw this as a mayor showstopper for users with windows partition trying this great new thing called fedora linux. Users new to linux and fedora install it and can't access their data (on NTFS partitions). They don't know why it doesn't work and why is their partition grayed out during the install. This should JustWork out of the box. They don't know about ntfs-3g and ntfs-config and if you tell them to open a "dos window" and type some commands to it they will probably run away from fedora desktop screaming :)

This is done because users are not forced to stay with one browser. In essence, this shortcut says "start my favorite browser", not "start firefox" - so it can't really have a firefox icon. You can customize it all you want, though.
Is it too hard to change the icon automatically based on users prefered browser? On Fedora 7 default browser is Firefox - so icon should reflect that.

I was amazed when I saw how a simple idea makes all the difference - especially for users new to fedora and linux. That was my experience with sabayon linux. -- http://kernelreloaded.blog385.com/ linux, blog, anime, spirituality, windsurf, wireless registered as user #367004 with the Linux Counter, http://counter.li.org.
