In a Open Office installation (FC7 64bit) I could not get the second language support to spell check. rpm -qa | grep open | grep lang | less showed that they were installed. To resolve the problem (OO was 64 bit version), I uninstalled the two extra languages, and reinstalled them. This time, the 64 bit versions were downloaded and the installation resulted in OpenOffice second language support now being functional. Just posting what to do in case you encounter the same situation.
