I must say, my experience is the opposite - I used to find that distribution kernels often would not run on one or other of my (7) machines, but I haven't had any such problem with FC-6 or Fedora-7. What I have noticed is that I get much more gumpf on the screen when I re-boot, much of it about USB. I don't read this properly - it flashes by too fast, for one thing - and it doesn't seem to be repeated in /var/log/dmesg (or if I run "dmesg"). I sort of thought everything that came up on the screen when re-booting would appear in a log file? -- Timothy Murphy e-mail (<80k only): tim /at/ birdsnest.maths.tcd.ie tel: +353-86-2336090, +353-1-2842366 s-mail: School of Mathematics, Trinity College, Dublin 2, Ireland -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
