Second, are you getting any errors when you attempt to burn the DVD?  It
would be helpful to know what they are.

Ok, I tried to burn an image today and I found this in the messages
log in /var/log:

It seems to be dealing with the burner and I have know clue what it all means.

I am making an image of a home movie and as soon as I can I will use
growisofs again and try to burn that image to a dvd+rw and give you
the output.
