Desktop Effects makes mouse jerky

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

All,

I've spent some time and googled for as much time and I
can't seem to get the desktop-effects to work smoothly on my laptop.  I
have a Toshiba Tecra A6 and according to the Xorg log file, here's the
information about my video adaptor:

(II) NVIDIA(0): NVIDIA GPU Quadro NVS 110M (G72GL) at PCI:1:0:0 (GPU-0)
(--) NVIDIA(0): Memory: 262144 kBytes
(--) NVIDIA(0): VideoBIOS: 05.72.22.54.17
(II) NVIDIA(0): Detected PCI Express Link width: 16X

I'm using Fedora 7 with the latest updates and the Nvidia 100.14.11 driver.

Whenever
I use desktop-effects and the CPU / hard drive are under load, the
mouse gets jerky and intermittently unresponsive.  Does anyone have any
suggestions?

Thanks,
Brian
