If I am running the a i686 kernel, why do I get a kernel-devel with i586 in the name? My guess is it doesn't matter, but wondering why they aren't the same? #uname -a Linux hostname 2.6.20-1.2925.fc6 #1 SMP Sat Mar 10 19:15:16 EST 2007 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux # rpm -ql kernel-devel-2.6.20-1.2925.fc6 | head -n 10 /usr/src/kernels/2.6.20-1.2925.fc6-i586 /usr/src/kernels/2.6.20-1.2925.fc6-i586/.config /usr/src/kernels/2.6.20-1.2925.fc6-i586/Makefile /usr/src/kernels/2.6.20-1.2925.fc6-i586/Module.symvers /usr/src/kernels/2.6.20-1.2925.fc6-i586/arch /usr/src/kernels/2.6.20-1.2925.fc6-i586/arch/alpha /usr/src/kernels/2.6.20-1.2925.fc6-i586/arch/alpha/Kconfig /usr/src/kernels/2.6.20-1.2925.fc6-i586/arch/alpha/Kconfig.debug /usr/src/kernels/2.6.20-1.2925.fc6-i586/arch/alpha/Makefil
