The first step is to try a google search for linux+webcam+compatibility. With any luck you'll find your model listed on the compatibility lists with an indication of the driver needed. If not, try a google on linux+your_webcam_model_number/name. That will probably give you some mailing list messages about it, and the driver will get a mention. If all this fails, give this list the make and model of the webcam. Anne
