It seems that when installing a Xen virtual guest OS, there is no Alt-F3, but only a serial console. This console does not mention any strange error. But it does mention: XENBUS: Device with no driver: device/vbd/51712 XENBUS: Device with no driver: device/vif/0 XENBUS: Device with no driver: device/vkbd/0 XENBUS: Device with no driver: device/vfb/0 Freeing unused kernel memory: 180k freed Write protecting the kernel read-only data: 356k The network installer fails to ask for a http proxy, or does it use the host machine's proxy config? But it did find the first state installer files, so that error-path might be a dead end. I still believe that this is a BUG... Please correct me if I'm wrong. By the way, the reason why I'm not using CDROM is that my CDROM won't read the images during virtual machine installation. Thanks for the help
