Logwatch used to be sent to me on my Fedora system,

I changed the line in /etc/cron.daily/0logwatch to
$Config{'mailto'} = "tim";
but this didn't seem to have any effect.

Has anyone else met this problem?

rather than that approach, it seems much more logical to
edit /etc/aliases to direct mail for user 'root: tim' (and if you are
using postfix, run the command 'postaliases' or if you are using
sendmail, run the command 'newaliases')

and what if he only wants logwatch, not the rest of roots mail?
