I had to go through this malarkey with a fresh installation of FC6, it borked itself with the yum update daemon that was set to run by default, but apparently broken as designed. I went through "rpm -e"ing the duplicates, far less painful than using yum. -- (This box runs FC6, my others run FC4 & FC5, in case that's important to the thread.)
