ATI TV Wonder 550 -- silence ??

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi;

Just wondering if anybody can add information.

I have a ATI TV Wonder 550 TV tuner card that works in WindowsXP but not
FC6.

Apparently the chip is a Theatre 550 pro, but the ATI site is not
absolutely clear on that. On Jan 2, 2007, I filed a bug with RedHat
bugzilla that said, in part:

"lspci returns "Multimedia controller: ATI Technologies Inc Unknown
device 4d52" The unknown device is an ATI TV Wonder 550 TV tuner card using a
Theater 550 Pro chip -- so ATI *seems* to say.

hwdata contains no such device definition.

There may be no drivers applicable to the Theater 550 pro for Linux."

I have never received any acknowledgement of bug filing. Today I
checked the bug archive, GATOS, Sourceforge and Xorg to see if there is
any further news regarding applicable drivers or whatever. No new news.

Does anybody here know if this problem is being addressed by anyone?
