Just curious. libssp is useful only on targets that don't have the necessary support already in libc. glibc (at least not prehistoric versions) do support -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE (for far more functions than libssp) as well as (more efficient) -fstack-protector, so the only two reasons for using standalone libssp are gone.
