Linux is a participatory experience - and you own the software, as does each one of us. This list provides group support but one must assume that error reports on this list go nowhere. Bugzilla exists for the sole purpose of error/problem reporting and once reported, the errors/problems are assigned to the person responsible for maintaining the package. In theory, the package maintainer should assimilate the information provided by the reporter (or reporters), request more information (if necessary) and then ultimately resolve the problem either as fixing it, declaring it unfixable or to declare that it is the expected behavior. This list has no means to deliver the reports to the people responsible and track the progress to conclusion. This list tends to encourage cursing the darkness and I think it's important to remind people that bug reporting on bugzilla is about lighting candles. Craig
