Hi; I am not a gamer normally but I thought I would download 'Glest' and try it. I have a graphics problem using it. I tried to get an answer on the Glest mailing list a month ago but got no response. When I open Glest I get all the opening screens and setup windows and graphics correctly but when it is ready to play all that I see on the screen is a little half inch square of red square dots that looks like something trying to be a full scale map. There is a very small animation in the centre of the red square trying to be the main character -- I suspect. I believe I have enough power to run this game. I have 640 Mb ram; a Radeon 9600 pro video card; and, FC6 on a P4 1.3. I am asking because I have some lingering doubts X windows has set my new(er) video card (the 9600) completely correctly although the display configuration and the Xlog seems right. Any diagnostic suggestions gratefully accepted. -- Regards Bill
