Sorry, I disagree. Please don't take this personally, but when I post to a 
list with potentially trillions of readers, I try to answer the question 
that's asked. If someone can't figure out how to put on a raincoat, I 
don't tell him to stay in out of the rain. Would your answer have been 
different if instead of "tmp" he had his directory named 
"important_stuff"?
