Hi, Jerry,
	I had a similar switch, but I had a different problem and had to
replace it.  It just would not be recognized at boot time.  I currently
have a switch from Radio Shack that uses the conventional keyboard and
mouse.  It seems to work OK, and I'll bet it is Belkin in its heart as
well.

	However, about your problem.  Check your cables.  One or both may not
be grounded, and that will cause noise that the switch may not be able
to deal with.
