Hi all,
I am reinstalling FC6 on a new MB and CPU.  Since I now
can use the 64

version of FC6
is as complete as the 32 bit version?  Will probably use the
KDE desktop
so that will need to be there also.

I've been running a 64 bit FC6 for a couple months now.

I can't speak to KDE since I use gnome but there are few things that are difficult or impossible to do with a 64 bit OS:
1) Firefox plugins - some, like Flashplayer, only come in 32 bit versions. Supposedly ndispluginwrapper will help with this but I was never able to get it to work. I installed 32 bit Firefox instead.
2) win32 codecs - not all win32 codecs have 64 bit versions
3) java webstart - Sun does not supply a 64 bit version. I haven't tried jumping through the hoops yet to install the 32 bit version. I assume it is possible.
4) Adobe Acrobrat Reader does not come in a 64 bit version.
5) Many drivers only come in 32 bit mode. For my wireless card driver I used ndiswrapper with success.

It is easy to run 32 bit applications in FC6 but all libraries used by the application must also be 32 bit. If you're not careful you end installing duplicate systems - one 64 bit and one 32 bit.
