Maybe you could submit a Bugzilla at mozilla. Of course it will probably be a pain for mozilla to come up with a way to read the default on every version of linux, BSD, Windows, or Amiga using whatever print interface cups, Gutenprint or whatever. Of course if you are the administrator you could probably come up with a small batch that could make the change fairly painless too.
