I use freshrpms nvidia RPM. It is version 9746 and I would recommend it over Livna's (it uses DKMS to rebuild the driver automatically when a new
kernel is loaded). I get
$ /sbin/lsmod | grep nvidia
nvidia               4723060  22

This means that the driver is about 4.5MB in size. Considering I have 1.5GB of RAM I am not worried. :)

Switched to freshrpms nvidia driver but I get same misbehaviour.
Now driver is
nvidia               6836276
I have 1MB so I do not worry....either

But where is the problem with blender and nvidia ??? If I use standard
nv driver blender is very slow...
