mplayer supports 3gp, amr I don't know.

Hey, it does! When I opened it from Konsole it didn't play, but
right-clicking the file and selecting GMplayer works. Thanks!
I am interested to know what these devices are creating. Can you give the result of:
$ file xxx.3gp
$ file xxx.amr
$ mplayer -identify xxx.3gp
$ mplayer -identify xxx.amr
Does the 3gp video file include audio, or is audio in the separate amr ?
