here is FC6 x86_64.
Whenever you click on the menu bar item the drop-down menu appears in
the top right corner of the openoffice window instead of popping
directly under the current item, which is very annoying. Presumably this
happened after the last update of the openffice, although I didn't try
to roll back, therefore can not confirm.

$ rpm -qa | grep openoffice
openoffice.org-core-2.0.4-5.5.10
openoffice.org-writer-2.0.4-5.5.10
openoffice.org-impress-2.0.4-5.5.10
openoffice.org-xsltfilter-2.0.4-5.5.10
openoffice.org-math-2.0.4-5.5.10
openoffice.org-calc-2.0.4-5.5.10
openoffice.org-graphicfilter-2.0.4-5.5.10
openoffice.org-draw-2.0.4-5.5.10

Doesn't seem to happen here; the menus work just fine. Same arch and
version of OpenOffice.
