still doesn't work ...
At reboot, it copies /etc/sysconfig/iptables to /etc/sysconfig/
iptables.save and put default values in /etc/sysconfig/iptables

Try    # iptables-save > /etc/sysconfig/iptables
       # chkconfig iptables on


it didn't work but i found the solution : cat /etc/sysconfig/iptables > iptables-restore
