Sorry, it didn't work for me. I'm still trying to find the solution or
at least the pattern for this behaviour, but not success for now.
My problem, as discussed in a previous thread is with the mic. I will
post any advances.

Yep, I reemember those threads, but there was also a thread about getting
it to work at all, and that's the one I was addressing.
I'm not a frequent user right now, but I do need it, so I was glad to get
it working at all. I'll keep an eye out for these other issues and report
back if I learn anything.
