I seem to recall that if you added a removable parameter to their fstab entry, they'll behave more like what you want. Though it's been so long since I tried that, that I can't remember the trick. Alternatively, you can make a shortcut on the desktop to their mount point within the tree. -- (Currently testing FC5, but still running FC4, if that's important.)
