You will need to install Mplayer, and the codecs for it, also Mplayerplugin, probably the flashplugin if you don't have that installed for other stuff on the site. Mplayerplugin comes with a bunch of plugins for windows media, quicktime, realmedia, etc. If you already have realplayer 10 GOLD installed, its probably best to rename Mplayerplugins rm plugin, so you don't get the wrong one when accessing realmedia sites. I can't get video from CNN caus I'm only on dialup, and FC2's Firefox is DL'd directly from the site (no RPM's as on FC5/6). As the Mplayerplugin links are not auto created in my Firefox, I don't have the realplayer problem. I only create links from Firefox to /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins for the particular plugins I want enabled. I get Mplayer from the greysector repo, but I think you can get it, and the mplayerplugin from livna.
