dmraid! Sweet.
My other distros - I mean, LFS, Ubuntu, Debian and Suse see each individual
drive, and not the raid array. Whereas, FC6 sees the raid array as the
single unit.

Ok, so, I have an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard, with an Sil-Image and
NVraid.
I know the NV raid is not actually hardware raid, but why does fc6 pick up
the array?
Because FC6 has dmraid support, which is capable of using the NVRAID array.
All the other distros will only see each individual drive.
By all, do you mean older distros without dmraid support?
Can I fix this without having to mdadm or ? What is it that Fedora does
differently in this respect?
You haven't really stated what it is you're looking to fix. What is
the problem, and what solution do you desire?
