Are you *seriously* suggesting that Linux computers are not meant to run
processor-intensive code?

That is completely irrelevant.

Yes, in normal desktop usage most computers will have very low
utilisation most of the time. That's because people buy computers to run
programs. Some of these (media encoding, 3D games, scientific
applications, compilers etc) take a lot of processor power. So it's a
good idea that they should have as much processor time as they can use,
which means the rest of the system should try not to take up too much of
it.

Are you seriously suggesting that people should not do 3D games, media
encoding, scientific applications or compiling on Linux?
