FC6 CUPS swallowing my print jobs

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi folks,

Finally got around to trying to print from FC6.

- fully updated
- open up CUPS via localhost:631
- add an hp lj 1200 that's hooked up on 192.168.1.80 via a (just out of
the box) dlink hard-wired printer server
- send a print job
- the Printers tab of the cups page says

bhp (Default Printer) "Printer busy; will retry in 10 seconds"

and the test page has been in the queue for 15 minutes.

- I've unplugged the print server and the laser (and plugged them back
in <s>) and made sure there weren't any other jobs from the other
machine that I tried this on.

So I'm puzzled why it's just sitting in the queue.

On the print page, it also says:
Printer State: processing, accepting jobs, published
Device URI: http://192.168.1.80

VERY frustrated at what should be an easy gig.

Thanks,

Whil Hentzen
Milwaukee
