True. I didn't think of that because I never use standby on my laptops
with FC, I guess it's the fact that I've been around since 7.3 and
gotten used to not having it ;-)
For my main box it's either on or turned off.

You'd want your swap to be bigger than your RAM *if* you were going to
use the suspend-to-disc stand-by (or it it hibernate?) mode. But it
doesn't have to be many times bigger.
