I just installed Fedora Core 5, and I'm trying to get my mysql server up. It shows as installed in rpm. When (as root) I run mysqld_safe, I get Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/lib/mysql STOPPING server from pid file /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid 061126 16:03:40 mysqld ended I have run chkconfig mysqld on, but I can't get the server to start.
