Trouble shooting with a shotgun here. You are using the flash lib file from macromedia? I stored it in the /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/, /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ and ~/.mozilla/plugin/ directories. Covering all the bases you see. Beats the hell out of me why ~/.mozilla/plugin <---has no 's'? Resistance is futile.
