I don't understand your problem at all.
Do you want to know if someone installed it? If so, look at logs, lastlog, 
secure logs...you know...
It's strange because default apps like apache (which is the common app where 
hackers pass trough...do not have write perms in /var/lib) so if the broke 
into they got shell for sure.
