messed up ALSA driver

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I am having some problems with my alsa driver on my laptop.  Sound only works if I use /dev/dsp (e.g., wavesurfer).  Sox, Noatun, etc. don't work.  I get the following error:  ALSA lib pcm_direct.c:1629:(snd_pcm_direct_parse_open_conf) Unknown field ipc_sem

I have yum set to install AT RPMS so the version of ALSA is alsa-lib-1.0.13-32.fc5.at.x86_64.rpm

This is on a Gateway laptop, Fedora Core 5, x86_64.

Any help would be most appreciated,
