You are running NM script not the network script? Also NetworkDispatcher must also be running. If all the right scripts are not triggered then nm-aaplet will not work. network is the script running by default. Otherwise I have never seen the behavior you are describing. -- ======================================================================= Never offend people with style when you can offend them with substance. -- Sam Brown, "The Washington Post", January 26, 1977 ======================================================================= Aaron Konstam telephone: (210) 656-0355 e-mail: akonstam@xxxxxxxxxxxxx -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
Aaron I made confusion: forgive me!!! but I am a newbie with wireless. If I go when I am in the office I get a "default " wireless network: I have the doubt that someone has a non-protected network, maybe at the restaurant sitting below my office!!! Signal is very very weak.....I have to check also at home but usually I do not get the "default" network, maybe that some Centrinos are working around!!! This is the output from a terminal.... /sbin/iwlist ath0 scan ath0 Scan completed : Cell 01 - Address: 00:0F:3D:AC:7F:48 ESSID:"default" Mode:Master Frequency:2.437 GHz (Channel 6) Quality=2/94 Signal level=-93 dBm Noise level=-95 dBm Encryption key:off Bit Rates:1 Mb/s; 2 Mb/s; 5.5 Mb/s; 11 Mb/s; 6 Mb/s 12 Mb/s; 24 Mb/s; 36 Mb/s; 9 Mb/s; 18 Mb/s 48 Mb/s; 54 Mb/s Extra:bcn_int=100 -- Antonio Montagnani Skype : antoniomontag -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
