Hard Drive Error Disk or Motherboard?

Hi,

I started having a problem this morning after I added an extra drive
to my ide1 channel as a slave.
After only 60 seconds the following messages started to appear on my
tty1 screen.
I immediatly removed the new disk and tried again with the same messages.
Next thing was removing and changeing the ide cable again this did not work.

I have read the following from another post but am unsure if this
would work also the file hardware does not exist on my FC5.

I would like to add the board was running windozes a few years back
and it started having disk problems. I then shelved it for 6 months
but Fedora seemed ok for the last year on it untill now.

Does anyone have any suggestions.
