(`/sbin/lspci | grep IDE`) I'd wager that the kernel module for the chipset is not loaded (which would force it to revert to much slower PIO) but near as I can tell, every IDE driver in the stock Fedora kernel builds are static in the kernel image, only SATA stuff is built as modules. Hmm.
