Well, Extras is enabled by default, so there's no need at all to add that. And for repos like Livna or FreshRPMS, it is generally quite easy to browse to the site and click on the respective -release rpm. That should open up the software installer GUI and handle setting up the repo with no command line use at all. It just seems easier to explain to people to run a command than to say "go here, go there, click this and then that..." (at least to me). And I'd wager that there are still a pretty heavy amount of us who really like the command line. ;) > Friendlier and more responsive (vs my FC5 experience) GUI for > getting new packages. In my experience that's true as well. Operations on a debian-based package database are noticeably faster, though yum continues to improve. - -- Todd OpenPGP -> KeyID: 0xBEAF0CE3 | URL: www.pobox.com/~tmz/pgp ====================================================================== Anarchism is founded on the observation that since few men are wise enough to rule themselves, even fewer are wise enough to rule others. -- Edward Abbey -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) iQFDBAEBAgAtBQJFXIHDJhhodHRwOi8vd3d3LnBvYm94LmNvbS9+dG16L3BncC90 bXouYXNjAAoJEEMlk4u+rwzj0vIH/R+FThtLrYOCZ+HBZZJwOgIFbZeZiKDfdyiU 832LLBbghXRYjh04oSzi+Ep8j4LAJ03uTnWNeu8TP35MDWjoErHkKnzg42bAZPYp dLh1mXBkcZcIQAV3eu0luUoiQMd3L2tqXIaVmHcC3gMT/SJuQh9waLYzgNVv9mP1 aQD9dL7QS9HRsypHNhwJj4mEb0ZugtAoWFUm8jDDG6qJiQV79dfKfxdppkZDJISU X6Mdsutr9/8hyeDg7oaKCIVDGMvitI+Hx9yowMq5OyH+S0Dk0U7aGGlSKCYg0aTT 6TufGbN5lSgRwZqXgB7K2DAjyDzq7GEwAbKTiqy/bphFczig71E= =VKSp -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
