Folks,
I upgraded to FC6 and are now having dependency problems with OpenOffice
upgrades. I don't know whether the upgrade FC6 caused this problem or
not. Messages (from yum, etc.) I get are:
[('file /usr/bin/ooffice from install of openoffice.org-core-2.0.4-5.5.3
conflicts with file from package openoffice.org-core-2.0.2-5.19.2', (7,

('file /usr/bin/openoffice.org-1.9 from install of

openoffice.org-core-2.0.2-5.19.2', (7,
'/usr/share/mime-info/openoffice.org-2.0.keys', 0L))]
I tried uninstalling OpenOffice (successful) and reinstalling OpenOffice
(unsuccessful). What is the problem? Thanks . . .
Are you on x86_64? FC6 has a native x86_64 version of openoffice, but
FC5 had an i386 version even on x86_64 installs.
See what you have:
$ rpm -qa --qf '%{name}-%{version}-%{release}.%{arch}\n' openoffice\*
If any i386 packages show up, you could try "yum remove"ing them and see
if that helps.
Paul.
