Restore from Suspend

I have Philips Freevents X51 laptop (I know, pretty rare - I think
they sold about 3!) and I'm having a lot of trouble with the restore
from suspend functionality.

Under FC5, it worked about 10% of the time. The rest of the time the
hard disk light would flash a few times and you could see that power
was going to the screen (as it got lighter) but X wouldn't resume and
I'd have to power off and reboot.

I was hoping that it would get better with FC6, but it's actually got
worse. Now it never works. And when it doesn't work I no longer see
the screen get slightly brighter. I just get a couple of minutes of
disk activity and then it just sits there doing nothing. And I have to
power off and reboot.

I know it's a rare laptop, so I'll need to roll up my sleeves and send
some detailed diagnostics to the developers in order to get round
this, but can someone suggest where I might start? Who should I
contact to start investigating this problem?

Cheers,

Dave...
