Wow, seems like there's a high expectation level for a rock solid distro of
the FC line of Linux when FC was never meant to be rock solid.

According to Red Hat's migration page,
http://www.redhat.com/rhel/migrate/whichlinux/

...

"... Fedora Project is for developers and high-tech enthusiasts using Linux
in non-critical computing environments."

...

After reading that, I kept my system on RHL7.3 all these years simply
because I'm not *nix savvy enough to try to deal with instability and also
because my core Linux machine is my Firewall, WAN Router/Gateway, NAT, DHCP,
DNS, HTTP, squid, and Mail server. Just point me to the config file so I
can get what I need working, and like Kim, all I ask is for things to just
function as they're meant to.

Certainly if stability is a requirement for any one wanting to run Linux,
there are other distros out there that will make more of an effort to
promise it and maybe consider making the switch from FC to avoid being
disappointed any time a new update is released.

Check distrowatch.com to see what's right for you...
