Oh, wait, you said 2 years, so you have probably done upgrades instead of clean installs and have stuff hanging around from the FC1 days. Get a life, look at what gets installed and used by default on the system. Read the archives which have had as many comments about the free nv driver as there are about the nvidia driver. Quit whining (as someone else has already said) and start doing some research and pay attention instead of putting the blame on the developers.
