Can you post the output of /sbin/lsmod, just to see what has been loaded. Also 
you could try as root  /usr/sbin/alsactl restore. If there are any mixer 
settings there, this should get something showing in alsamixer. Post the 
output of cat /proc/asound/cards  as well, just to see where the card is 
located.

I'm still using FC1,2,3,4,and 5. I've seen so many problems with FC6 that I'm 
glad I havn't installed it yet.
