Can anyone offer a workaround for the problem reported at

having vnc running but also having graphics running sweetly is kind of
important? Thanks Mike
Don't do the following:
Section "Module"
Load "vnc"
EndSection
VNC works just fine without it. Just install the vnc-server RPM on the
system you wish to access remotely. DO NOT modify xorg.conf. You can
then either start vncserver on the remote host by enabling the service
or by just running the server from the command line as the user who will
use the remote access. In this configuration, glxinfo says everything
is ducky and glxgears runs from a console window. However, glx
functionality is NOT available through VNC.
About the only problem I've run into is running vncserver as a service
doesn't seem to respect the geometry argument I'm giving it the
/etc/sysconfig/vncservers. Starting vncserver from the command line
works as expected.
Cheers,
Dave
