Ric As I am relatively new to Linux I have had a difficult time to understand what the real problem over which interface to use; to me it is a case of choose the one you want and that's the end of it. >From my perspective if the Linux side wants a win against the common foe we need some solid choices in the gui world; while command line may give one better control etc the reality is the non techno crowd will only use an operating system that has a gui they can work with, as each of us looks at things differently several choices have a better chance of appealing to the regular user.
