As two threads referenced two problems being present with the FC6 release and printing. The first problem referencing not being able to scan. The second problem referencing not being able to print. For the first problem, I found that resetting the all in one after logged into the terminal will allow the ability to successfully launch the scanner. It seems that the device gets in a state where the device is set to a poor state, possibly when you dual boot and access windows. Anyway, I was able to successfully scan in both FC6 and current development by pressing the on/resume button to turn off the device and then pressing the on/resume button again to restart the device. When I pressed the scanner tool, it launched and I was able to scan with the device. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=213187 Now for the problem with not being able to print. It seems that HAL adds an entry for printers which does not work. Also, hp-setup will create another entry which will not work either. If yo choose to add a manual entry, then choose HP followed by the PSC model that you have (1210 in my case with a model 1209) you should be able to get a working printer with the manual entry. I chose the default driver for it which was a foomatic gimp-print type of driver. I don't know why the automatic HAL or the hp-setup entry do not work. They just do not work for my system. The manual entry does though. Maybe a little help or maybe some added problems with this workaround solution. Bug in progress of being isolated though.
