[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

My system log is filling up with these messages every few minutes. I do not understand what going on here. System seems fine otherwise, more of an irritation than anything else.

===========
Nov 5 10:52:50 localhost gconfd (lvanek-4906): starting (version 2.14.0), pid 4906 user 'lvanek' Nov 5 10:52:50 localhost gconfd (lvanek-4906): Resolved address "xml:readonly:/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.mandatory" to a read-only configuration source at position 0 Nov 5 10:52:50 localhost gconfd (lvanek-4906): Resolved address "xml:readwrite:/home/lvanek/.gconf" to a writable configuration source at position 1 Nov 5 10:52:50 localhost gconfd (lvanek-4906): Resolved address "xml:readonly:/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults" to a read-only configuration source at position 2 Nov 5 10:55:31 localhost gconfd (root-4811): GConf server is not in use, shutting down.
======================

there are no entries in directory "/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.mandatory" so Im confused (not a unique experience for me).
