How do you send from it?

If you use your SMTP server to run as SMTP servers are supposed to run
(it makes direct connections to the destination - e.g. if you were
e-mailing johndoe@xxxxxxxxxxx it'd find the MX record for example.com
and send to its SMTP server), this will cause a lot of your mail to get
rejected if your IP in one of the pool assigned to clients on your ISP.
A lot of servers reject mail from users, because this is how many
spammers do their work.

If you use your SMTP server to channel all local mail through your ISP's
SMTP server (or another good server), using the "smarthost" feature of
your SMTP server, your mail should go through okay. It'll be (almost)
the same as your local mail clients using the ISP's SMTP server,
directly.

Another mitigating factor is the domain name that you post from.
Certain top-level-domains get red flagged as being more likely to be
spam, simply by the name, regardless of content. e.g. Spamassassin,
IGNORANTLY, does that with .biz and .info TLDs. I say that with such
venom because in the years that I've been on the internet, and in the
thousands of spam that I've received, I've noticed about seven spams
that came with .biz TLDs in them.

(Currently testing FC5, but still running FC4, if that's important.)

Don't send private replies to my address, the mailbox is ignored.
I read messages from the public lists.
